Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead – The Robert Klein Radio Show – DIR Studios, New York City – June 10, 1979

Jerry was being interviewed by comedian Robert Klein for his weekly radio show called The Robert Klein Hour. He would interview celebrities at a New York Studio. I was hired to take trade photos on the set. The air conditioning was not working in the studio. While Jerry waited in the green room, I introduced myself to him and asked if he wanted to take some portraits on the roof while we were waiting to get the AC fixed.  He grabbed his suitcase, followed me through the window, up to the roof where he lit up a joint, happy to pose or a bit.
