 August 12 and 13 1989
Bidding ends September 4th – 5:00pm EST. It was almost 30 years ago when a crowd of  over 100,000 Russian fans attended the Moscow Peace Festival. The concert was put together by manager Doc Mcghee — “We always wanted to go over to Moscow and do the first rock show in the Soviet Union. I wanted to do their Woodstock”.  Proceeds would go to Make a Difference Foundation and doctors who would be brought to the USSR to teach methods of treating addiction. Rock Scene Auctions is proud to feature the photographs from the official photographer Mark “WEISSGUY” Weiss.
August 12th and 13th, 1989 the historic concert took place. Skid Row, Scorpions, Cinderella, Ozzy, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi flew over on the Magic Bus to the U.S.S.R.  “It seemed like a class reunion” says Weiss. He toured extensively with all the acts on the bill as well as introducing Sebastian Bach  to Skid Row and Zakk Wylde to Ozzy Osbourne a couple of years earlier, “actually it was like a family reunion, I had a blast – we all got on the plane and it was all systems go – It was one big party, I wanted to be the first one off the plane so I could capture the magic moment of Rock Royalty arriving on Russian soil”.
